We were put as honorary pages at the House of Representatives. After a brief tour and training session with the rest of our group, we were escorted into the House by a professional page, while being introduced by the Speaker of the House. When our job began, we were very busy. As each Representative wanted a message delivered to another Rep, or bills were being distributed, we would pass them out. We met several legislators from the Mapleton/ Presque Isle areas, as well as from other districts all around the state. After the short session was adjourned, about an hour later, we had cake for a special occasion at the capital! We both had an amazing time and are looking forward to returning next year for a hopefully longer session.
