Eat Well Nutrition Education Program
A program for healthy eating

Extension expert teaches children about nutrition

Extension expert gives a cooking lesson

University of Maine Cooperative Extension Eat Well program is free to income eligible individuals, families, schools, and groups. Participants learn
  • how to stretch food dollars;

  • new ideas and recipes for healthy meals;

  • how to prepare great snacks;

  • meal planning for busy people;

  • cooking skills;

  • how to make favorite recipes healthier;

  • how to keep food safe; and

  • tips for a healthy lifestyle.

We offer

  • one-on-one visits in the home;

  • teaching in groups; and

  • Eat Well by Mail lessons: 10 steps to a healthier you!
