Join Jane Haskell of University of Maine Cooperative Extension and host of Doing Business on Thursday morning, July 2 at 10:00 to discover a bit more about what happens when a business offers a smoke free environment to its employees, customers and vendors.

You want to know more about local businesses - and they want you to know what it means to tackle a public policy issue like eliminating a smoking environment. Did they have a plan? Did they need to integrate a policy slowly? Did they need a policy? Were there stresses? What are the benefits of having a tobacco free workplace? How does Maine State law fit into the picture? What about commitment and support?

This month Doing Business will focus on two very different businesses and we will hear from one of the Maine Healthy Partnership site coordinators. The guests will help you think about how these businesses have committed to personal health and wellness as an innovative business solution. As always they will pass on tips that can help all of us get through tough times in a creative, self-reliant way. Join Jane Thursday morning, July 2 from 10 to 11. Listen in and share your experiences or questions. Have your voice join the voice of many voices on community radio WERU-FM Blue Hill 89.9 and 102.9 Bangor.
