Washington County Master Gardener Volunteer Program
Who can become a Master Gardener Volunteer? Master Gardener Volunteers enjoy helping to create beauty in public as well as private spaces, and helping others learn how to grow their own food.
Master Gardener Volunteers are young and older; male and female; students, workers and retirees; and we all share an interest in nature, the environment and growing things.
Everyone who successfully completes the 40+ hours of training and volunteers 40 hours towards community gardening programs and activities can become a Master Gardener Volunteer. The participation fee is $90, which covers the cost of a two-volume reference manual and training site expenses.
