Our 4-H Shooting Sports Apprentice Hunter (or Wildlife & Hunting) program includes wildlife conservation and advanced hunting instruction with a focus on both big game (deer, bear, moose) and upland birds. Under the expert supervision of our senior staff, campers will have a chance to shoot .22 caliber rifles at our rifle range as well as 20 gauge shotguns at our Sporting Clay range. As with all our shooting sports programs, instruction in safety and the ethical use of firearms is our top priority. The week will culminate with a trip to a stocked bird hunting facility for an exciting, supervised pheasant hunt!

Successful completion of a prior hunter safety course is recommended.
