Conservation
Leadership Basic: Ages 13-15 (2 weeks)
Advanced: Ages 16-18 (3 weeks)
Conservation Leadership is our field program designed
for motivated high school students. Participants can
develop the outdoor skills, leadership, and teaching
tools needed to become a leader in outdoor education.
Mentored and supervised by senior staff members,
Conservation Leaders will live in wall tents at our main
campus, and will spend the first two weeks building
their skill set, and meeting personal and group
challenges. There will also be plenty of fun times too,
including swimming, day hikes and canoe trips, and
nights "off" with group trips. Gradually, Conservation
Leaders will be given responsibility for tasks assisting
our field teachers, supervising activities, and
experiencing team leadership.
