Scholarships Available

PLEASE NOTE: In order to allow us to offer scholarships to as many families as possible, we ask that campers take advantage of only one scholarship at a time. Thank you.

  • Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife conservation education scholarship (Moose Permit Auction Funds) awards have changed. These funds will be awarded in $200 scholarships. Funding is made available through money raised by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife's annual moose permit auction.  These scholarships are for Maine residents only, and are all one time only and first come, first served.

    These scholarships may now be used for any of the following programs:

    • Conservation Camp (Archery or Firearms Hunter Safety)

    • Natural Explorer

    • 4-H Shooting Sports Archery Camp

    • Fishing Camp

    • Paddling Camp
       

  • Maine Department of Environmental Protection
    $100 scholarships for any Maine resident. Quantities are limited, first-come, first-served.
     

  • L.L. Bean, Inc.
    Limited number of advanced level program scholarships available:

    • $500 towards Junior Maine Guide

    • $250 towards Bushcraft or Maine Woodscraft

    • $150 towards Primitive Challenge, Rangeley Lakes Canoe

    • $100 towards Primitive Living, 4-H Shooting Sports (either Shotgun & Rifle or Apprentice Hunter), Junior Maine Woodscraft, Primitive Skills, any Naturalist program.
       

  • Pine Tree State 4-H Foundation
    $100 Scholarships towards any program, for all Maine residents. Quantities are limited, first-come, first-served.
     

  • 4-H Shooting Sports Summer Camp program scholarships
    $200 scholarships towards any of our 4-H Shooting Sports summer camp weeks, donated by a local family foundation and sporting good store owner.
     

  • Presque Isle Fish & Game Club

  • Big Fun Fund Scholarships
    Limited number of "wilderness experience" program scholarships:

    • $150 towards Junior Maine Woodscraft, Maine Woods Discovery, Primitive Skills, Primitive Living

    • $200 towards Appalachian Challenge

    • $400 towards Maine Woodscraft
       

  • Sgt. Joel A. House Summer Camp Scholarship Fund

  • The Betterment Fund
    $250 Scholarships towards any program, for residents of Oxford and Franklin Counties. Quantities are limited; first-come, first-served.
     

  • Stifler Family Scholarships
    $575 scholarships available to residents of Greenwood and Albany. Only 10, no repeat recipients. Given by Larry Stifler and Mary McFadden
