  1. Audubon at Gilsland Farm - several gardening opportunities take place at this site:

    Peony Identification Project

  1. Children's Discovery Garden - A very popular and visible hands-on project taking place at the Portland Flower Show each March reaching more than 5000 interested children and adults.
  2. Cumberland Fair Display & Booth - This large-scale project that takes place each fall is now a CCMGA committee.
  3. Exit 8 Replanting Project - At the entrance to Portland at the Maine Turnpike there will be a well-planned wildlife habitat area organized and planted by Master gardeners and other volunteers.
  4. Flying Changes Equine Center for Therapeutic Riding- This site has three gardening opportunities: Memorial Orchard, Hannah's Garden and a carrot garden to feed the hard working horses.
  5. Garden Angel - A grandly successful combination of gardeners in need of assistance and those "angels" willing to lend a hand.
  6. Habitat for Humanity
  7. Living Memorial Garden, Eastern Prom – a patriotic memorial garden dedicated to the memories of the heroes and victims of 9/11/02.
  8. Maine Tree Club
  9. Maine Wildlife Park - Several beautification and educational gardens at the "game farm" in Gray.
  10. Master Gardener Annual Plant Sale
  11. Master Gardener Fall Conference – October 19, 2002, USM, Gorham Campus.
  12. Mill Stream Landing, Freeport, salt marsh re-vegetation
  13. Oxford Street Community Garden - Medicinal and vegetable gardens cared for by residents and shared with Stone Soup Co-op.
  14. Payson Park Bird & Butterfly Garden - Surrounding the community gardens in Portland's Payson Park is the installation of a well thought out garden planted with the intention of attracting wildlife and beautifying the park.
  15. Planning Native Wildlife Garden, Brunswick Coastal Humane Society
  16. Plant A Row (PAR) for the Hungry - A nationally recognized organization encouraging gardeners to plant extra purposefully to donate the produce to designated local food banks
  17. Portland Flower Show - Standard Flower Show
  18. Preble Street Resource Center– papermaking workshop using materials from the garden
  19. Shaker Gardens - Historic herb garden rejuvenation.
  20. Skyline Farm, Yarmouth

  22. Urban Raised Bed Gardening- Gardening in the city at the UMCE offices on Chamberlain Street.
