North County Garden Calendar … Have You Ordered Yours Yet?

The illustrated North Country Garden Calendar, published each year by a partnership of northern New England university Extension staff, is a well-loved favorite. What other calendar will tell you when to cut back your perennials, start your onion seedlings, prune your apple trees, uncover your strawberry patch, and plant your annuals in this climate? The 2008 version,

"Perennial Favorites," features timely gardening reminders and descriptions and illustrations of 12 of our Extension horticulture specialists' favorite plants. Order soon for holiday giving.

2008 North County Garden Calendars developed by Cooperative Extensions of Maine and Vermont are available now. Each month offers in-depth information on a gardening topic, and each day gives a gardening tip.  The calendars are available at a cost of $7.50 each if 1-4 calendars are ordered; $6.50 each if 5-9 calendars are ordered; or $5.50 each if 10 or more are ordered.  Make check or money order payable to University of Maine Cooperative Extension and send with your name, address, and how many calendars your would like to:  Garden Calendar, UM Cooperative Extension, 495 College Avenue, Orono, Maine 04473.  They would make great gifts for gardeners.
