Without costing you any more, these vouchers will contribute an extra $10 to Agriculture Education. They do not expire until 2009.
Just mail your check for $20 per set of plates with your name, phone and mailing address to: Maine Agriculture in the Classroom Association, 28 State House Station, Augusta, ME 04333 and we will mail your voucher immediately. You Can Participate in Project BudBurst
There is a research project that was started last year for gardeners from all over the United States to report when their plants started to bud and flower. They are using this information to relate how climate change affects the timing of leafing out and flowering in all parts of the county. It is based on a few native tree and flower species from across the country.
If you would like to help you need to register with them online at http://www.windows.ucar.edu/citizen_science/budburst/index.html. This project would be great to do with your children or grandchildren.
