Homemaker Extension Groups

Learning throughout a lifetime.  A model of community education shared across the state and county.  There are 4 Extension Homemaker Groups in Piscataquis County.  These groups are located in Brownville, Dover-Foxcroft, Guilford and North Guilford.  The Extension Homemaker's Council provided leadership to these local community groups.  Extension Groups extend the resources of UMCE into their communities through educational opportunities and service projects.  There are over 50 active members learning together and donating to worthy causes.  There is an annual scholarship.
