Water Quality
Watershed Steward checking water clarity The University of Maine Cooperative Extension Water Quality office provides information to the public on protecting Maine's water resources. We present many water quality educational programs, making a difference in Maine. Through applied research and educational programs, we work with agricultural producers, to help them improve production while reducing the potential for off-site negative environmental impacts. We also reach out to interested citizens to teach them how to protect the many lakes and rivers of Maine.

Participants in our water quality educational programs are making a difference in Maine!
